The RBC Canadian Open returns to British Columbia in 2011, promising to provide an exciting tournament at the Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club which will be celebrating its100 year anniversary.
With its narrow fairways, gnarly rough and tiny greens, Shaughnessy confounded most of the pros in 2005. American Mark Calcavecchia, who promises to return next summer, won with a score of five-under par and made only one birdie on the weekend. Only nine players finished under par.
Still, despite its difficulty, most of the players raved about the course and some called it the best they played on the PGA Tour that year.
