Last year in Montreal, Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki captured her first Rogers Cup as part of a stellar year where she became the 20th player in the history of the WTA to ascend to the No. 1 ranking. The last time the women were in Toronto, in 2009, it was Olympic Gold medalist Elena Dementieva who took home the coveted Rogers Cup trophy.
