The 2013 PGA Championship, which enjoys a rich heritage dating back to its inaugural event in 1916, will be the 95th PGA Championship and is scheduled to be played from August 8th -11th, 2013 at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York.
Oak Hill hosted the 1980 and 2003 PGA Championships won respectively by Jack Nicklaus and Shaun Micheel. In 1995, Europe stunned the United States at Oak Hill by rallying to capture the Ryder Cup on the final day for a 14 1/2 to 13 1/2 victory.
Oak Hill also has hosted several USGA championships, most notably the 1989 U.S. Open won by Curtis Strange, the 1968 U.S. Open won by Lee Trevino and the 1956 U.S. Open won by Cary Middlecoff. Hank Kuehne won the 1998 U.S. Amateur at Oak Hill, while Charles Coe captured the 1949 U.S. Amateur and Miller Barber won the 1984 U.S. Senior Open there.
