The SPORTALITY racing team was on hand at the 2010 Toronto Honda Indy to introduce guests to the SPORTALITY Racer. The full motion racing simulator was showcased in the Budweiser VIP tent where fans had an opportunity to experience the thrill of IndyCar racing. SPORTALITY team members, dressed in full racing gear, kept the crowd engaged with a leader board for the fastest times and posed for photos with the enthusiastic fans.
Like a genuine race car, the SPORTALITY Racer gives riders an exciting and realistic experience by precisely matching the motion of the simulator with the vehicle action inside the simulation. Racers will feel dynamic forces like acceleration and centrifugal force, physical position like tip on a high banked oval, and details right down to the texture of the road. The SPORTALITY Racer has 20° of Pitch and Roll with associated 20" heave, 16" surge, and 16" sway.
The SPORTALITY Racer uses a combination of fast and slow frequency movements proportional to action in the simulation to convince the rider that they are experiencing realistic acceleration, braking, and centrifugal force. Riders will also feel changes in physical position like driving up and down a hill. In addition to the primary forces, a variety of special effects such as engine vibrations, road surface texture and bumping are created.
