Described as a culinary experience in itself, The Players Tailgate features open premium bars and all-you-can-eat dining with gourmet dishes. America’s most recognizable celebrity chef, Guy Fieri, returns as host for the 2020 Players Tailgate, helping prepare the food with the top caterer in the United States, Aaron May.




The Venue:

The 2020 venue for The Players Tailgate at Super Bowl 54 as always will be the prime location for the Super Bowl in Atlanta. The Location will be within 3 blocks from the security entrance for Super Bowl as it has been for the last 5 years. You will NOT need a Super Bowl Ticket to attend and all ages are welcome. The venue is a 60,000 square foot indoor/outdoor hospitality pavilion lined with private tables and an abundance of soft white leather furniture where guests can watch ESPN’s pre- game coverage on large LED monitors. It is an amazing all-ages experience for football fans young and old to come mingle with NFL Super stars and Celebrities and eat AMAZING food! When it’s Super Bowl Sunday there isn’t a better option than The Players Tailgate hospitality.

This is Guy’s fifth Players Tailgate serving as our host and Chef (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and upcoming 2020) and each time he has upped the menu! Guy Fieri can be seen on television almost every day on the Food Network. Chef Aaron May has ownership in Bullseye Catering Group where he makes his awesomeness available to you. Chef May is classically trained in Paris at the Ecole Ritz Escoffier and is inducted into the Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame in 2010 as a “Chef Extraordinaire.” He has been featured on Food Network’s wildly popular Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and TLC’s Best Food Ever. His fiercely loyal fan base has recognized him with many local awards, including “Best Tapas” and “Best Speakeasy,” and he has also garnered attention from national publications such as Food & Wine, Condé Nast Traveler, Sunset Magazine and USA Today. Sage Steele

We take great pride in selecting the Tailgate Emcee for each Super Bowl. When you have had Michael Strahan, Erin Andrews, Lindsey Czarniak, Jaymee Sire and Charissa Thompson as your previous Emcee’s, you have big shoes to fill. Historically we take our time to find an emcee who is on top of their game and one we feel our Players Tailgate guests enjoy. After several years of trying we were finally able to announce we had Sage Steele for our 2019 Emcee for the Players Tailgate. The 2020 Players Tailgate emcee will be announced in November 2019.


Sage Steele is one of ESPN’s most popular and respected commentators, currently serving as the anchor for the 6 p.m. ET SportsCenter with her co-anchor Kevin Negandhi. Steele also serves as the lead host for SportsCenter on the Road.Steele’s lead role for SportsCenter on the Road includes on-site, day-long and pre-event coverage for the biggest sports events of the year, including the NBA Finals, the Super Bowl, World Series, the Masters, the College Football National Championship and many more. Steele was named SportsCenter on the Road host in September of 2016. Steele showed her great range in sports by formerly hosting NBA Countdown on ESPN and ABC for four seasons/ For five years prior to the NBA assignment, Steele was a full-time host of SportsCenter ESPN’s flagship show, and had previously contributed to ESPN First Take, Mike & Mike in the Morning, and SportsNation. Steele hosted SportsCenter’s daytime coverage of the NBA Finals in 2012 and 2013, and has covered every NBA Finals since 2012.

At the 2017 Players Tailgate at Super Bowl LI, DJ Irie provided his world-class entertainment to help set the stage for the biggest and best pre-game tailgate in Houston before Super Bowl LI. In 2018 DJ Irie was donned “The Official DJ” of the Players Tailgate, 2019 will be his 3rd year for DJ Irie setting the vibe for this iconic event.

Celebrity chef Guy Fieri, in conjunction with 2017 CNN Hero Finalist Operation BBQ Relief, will get together to create an incredible BBQ spread, including whole hogs, brisket, prize-winning turkey, all with Guy Fieri’s famous rubs and sauces, slow-smoked by the award winning pit masters at Operation BBQ Relief.


Korean Fried Chicken

Korean fried chicken served with kimchi Korean BBQ and herbs, served on steamed buns, curated and served up by Top Chef finalist and ABC’s The Taste winning mentor Brian Malarkey.


Jet Fresh Poke, Sashimi and Sushi

A delicious array of fresh-flown in poke, gourmet sashimi and sushi, created by 2018 Michelin Star award winner chef Akira Back, who can be seen on Food Network’s Iron Chef America, NBC’s The Today Show, and Cooking Channel’s United Tastes.


Prime Time Prime Rib Sandwiches

Delicious prime rib sandwiches, garnished with truffle and gruyere on fresh baked rolls, served up by the best caterer in America, Food Network’s celebrity chef Aaron May.

New at the 2018 Players Tailgate is the incredible Frank’s RedHot Bullseye Brunch Bar, with delicious Frank’s RedHot bloody Mary’s, Sweet Chili chicken and waffles, bacon and egg sandwiches, and breakfast tater tots served with a special blend of Frank’s RedHot and French’s® Tomato Ketchup.


Flavortown Finale

And after all that, head over to the Flavortown Finale dessert station to dive into fresh, hot doughnuts, complete with Minnesota’s biggest hot chocolate bar and plenty of assorted desserts.

A 2015 Pro Bowl selection as a member of the NFC-Champion Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50, Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman is an All-Pro shutdown defensive back, with 312 tackles, 10 interceptions and eight forced fumbles in his six-year career.


Jalen Ramsey – CB
Drafted 5th overall in the 2016 NFL draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars, 2017 Pro Bowl selection. Was an All-American CB at Florida State.


Dak Prescott – QB
Quarterback Dak Prescott was the 2016-17 NFL Rookie of the Year and a 2016 Pro Bowl Selection for the Dallas Cowboys. Prescott was awarded the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week five times in the 2016 season, and in his sophomore campaign, led the Dallas Cowboys with 3,324 yards passing and 22 touchdowns.


Odell Beckham Jr. – WR
Three-time NFL Pro Bowl selection, 2014 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, and two-time All Pro wide receiver for the New York Giants. Beckham is the fastest player in NFL history to reach 200 career receptions and 2,000 receiving yards.


Landon Collins – S
Two-time Pro Bowl Safety and First-team All Pro. Second-round draft pick by the Giants after being a unanimous All-American at Alabama. The only player in NFL history to have 100 solo tackles, 2+ sacks, 5+ ints, and 12+ pass deflections in one season.


Jarvis Landry – WR
Three-time Pro Bowl receiver for the Miami Dolphins, Jarvis Landry holds the record for most receptions in a player’s first two seasons (194). Landry was also the leader in receptions in the 2017 NFL season.


Cameron Jordan – DE
A three-time Pro Bowl selection and first round draft pick in the 2011 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints, Jordan returns for his fourth Players Tailgate at the Super Bowl!

Harrison Smith – S
Harrison Smith is a three-time Pro Bowl safety for the Minnesota Vikings and a first-round draft pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. Smith recorded 61 total tackles and five interceptions in 2017.


Kareem Hunt – RB
One of the most electrifying rookies in the 2017 NFL season, Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt was elected to his first Pro Bowl. The rookie Hunt led the NFL in rushing yards in his first year, recording 1,327 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground.


Derrick Brooks – LB
A Super Bowl XXXVII champion and 2014 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, linebacker Derrick Brooks also recorded 11 Pro Bowl selections, NFL Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2002 and over 1,715 tackles in his 13-year career.


Ha Ha Clinton-Dix – S
A first-round pick by the Green Bay Packers in 2014, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix has been a staple of the Packers defense for years. A Pro Bowler in 2016, Clinton-Dix was also a two-time BCS National Champion at the University of Alabama.

Eric Kendricks – LB
Second-round draft pick by Minnesota Vikings in 2015 NFL Draft, named to PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2015. NFC Defensive POTW in Week 1 of 2016 NFL Season.

Tyler Lockett – WR
Tyler Lockett is a three-time All-Pro receiver for the Seattle Seahawks. In 2016 as a rookie, he was named 1st team All Pro and a member of the Pro Football Writers Association NFL All-Rookie Team at three different positions.

Tyreek Hill – WR/KR
A two-time Pro Bowl selection for the Kansas City Chiefs, Tyreek Hill was an electric receiver and one of the most dynamic kick returners in the NFL in the last couple of seasons. Hill recorded over 1,100 yards receiving and seven touchdowns in the 2017 NFL season, as well as a punt return for a touchdown.

Jaylon Smith – LB
A consensus All-American linebacker at Notre Damn and Dick Butkus Award winner in 2015, linebacker Jaylon Smith was a force in the backfield for the Dallas Cowboys, recording 81 tackles in 16 games started in 2017.

Robert Woods – WR
Traded from Buffalo to the Los Angeles Rams in 2017, wide receiver Robert Woods was a second round pick in 2013 out of USC. Woods’ 2017 NFL campaign finished with 781 yards and five touchdowns on 56 catches.

Andrew Sendejo – S
An undrafted free agent in 2010, Minnesota Vikings safety Andrew Sendejo started in 13 games for the team in 2017, recording 52 tackles and two interceptions.


Kenyan Drake – RB
A third-round draft pick in 2016 by the Miami Dolphins, running back Kenyan Drake assumed the starting role halfway through the 2017 NFL season, recording 823 rushing yards and five touchdowns for the Dolphins.
